New Traveling Exhibit at Washington County Historical Museum

The Washington County Museum is proud to launch a new Mobile Museum Traveling Exhibit entitled This Kalapuya Land. This Kalapuya Land is currently at the Tualatin Heritage Center where it will be on display May 10 through June 28, 2007. The Tualatin Heritage Center, located at 8700 S.W. Sweek Dr., is open Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and for special events.
This Mobile Museum Traveling Exhibit chronicles the lives and culture of Native Americans who have resided in the Willamette Valley for thousands of years. Learn about how the Native Americans of this area lived; what they ate, what they wore, where they lived, who they traded with and what languages they spoke. You will also learn about treaties, life on the reservation and the Kalapuya today. Future dates and locations to be announced. Please contact the museum for details.
